Design Services
We focus first on space planning, minding traffic flow, storage and intuitive design, so that when you want a spoon, you reach down and it's there, in the drawer that's most convenient. Our space planning expertise allows us to tackle much more than just the kitchen—many of our projects are additions that require structural changes.
Once we've designed your most functional floor plan, we move on to coordination and product specification. We coordinate your whole space, from cabinet design and countertop selection to helping you select lighting, backsplashes and knobs. Though we do not provide labor, we follow each job through to completion.
Each homeowner is given a detailed job binder that outlines
the parameters of the job, informing your contractor of
product placement and necessary specifications. We believe
communication is the key: we order, receive and inspect all
products in addition to meeting delivery trucks at your
jobsite. We are always available during your project to
answer questions and assist your contractor as needed.
Our Staff
Knowledge and experience differentiate our staff. Our commitment to staying up to date on trends takes us to industry shows across the country and keeps us involved in the Northern California chapter of the National Kitchen and Bath Association's
(NKBA) meetings and training classes.

Julie
Williams, CKD, CBD
A Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer (CKD,
CBD), Julie Williams has more than 20 years of experience in the design industry. In addition to her degree from
CSU, Long Beach, Julie has completed an
intense two-year architectural/interior space design program.
After interning for a local Interior designer, she was
offered employment at The Laguna Niguel Design Center which
serves the design trade. In 1987, while employed at the
kitchen showroom of Design Works,
she had the opportunity to be trained by Ellen Cheever, a Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer who has authored many of the industry's design principles and standard training manuals. After opening her own business, The Design Factor, in Southern California, Julie relocated to Northern California in 1991, where she established Julie Williams Design.
One of the most important aspects of her design style is her philosophy of form
follows function. Develop a great layout first, then make it
beautiful-incorporating the clients style and turning their
wish list into reality.
Julie Williams is joined by
Alan Paonessa, a master finish carpenter of
20 years who has spent eight years designing kitchens;
and Shawn Gernhardt
who in
addition to providing excellent customer service and follow
through, specializes in interior products and services for the
past four years.
